Jean graduated from the Indiana University of School of Nursing Top 5 in her class in 2010. She would work within critical care for six years with a special interest in cardiovascular health. Prior to becoming a nurse, Jean obtained a Masters in Healthcare Administration from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Indiana University Bloomington.
She believes in empowering nurses to be involved in their community and teaching future nurses how to advocate for better health policies. Her involvement in her community with Dementia Friends Indiana led to her receiving CICOA Aging & In-Home Solutions 2018 Spirit Award and a finalist in Kit magazine’s Women Making a Difference award.
Jean is constantly humbled by the passionate community leaders she meets working towards aging safely and independently. Jean's greatest joy comes from being the mother of her three sons.
